Jon F. Erickson
Jon F. Erickson has been a successful trial attorney in some of Chicago’s most challenging courtrooms for the past 20 years. As an author, litigator and advisor, Jon F. Erickson has developed an expertise in criminal defense and civil rights law and is considered a leading specialist in DUI defense.
A 1990 graduate of the John Marshall Law School, Jon F. Erickson spent 12 years developing extensive trial skills and experience in high volume courtrooms all over Cook County before founding Erickson & Oppenheimer, Ltd. in 2002.
Since founding Erickson & Oppenheimer, Ltd., Erickson has obtained not-guilty verdicts in countless criminal cases—including many high profile cases—and has secured millions of dollars in damage awards for his civil clients.
Jon F. Erickson authored the Immediate Order of Protection Act which was signed into law by Gov. Edgar in 1998 and was tapped by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to advise her on civil rights and domestic violence issues. He has lectured extensively on hate crimes and has served as a policy advisor on civil rights and domestic violence issues to former Presidential Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Congressmen Mike Quiqley.

Michael D. He won wide acclaim for his artful prosecution in the highly publicized Ryan Harris & Eric Morris case.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati Law School (J.D.) and Vanderbilt University (B.A.), Michael D. Oppenheimer has served as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at the prestigious Loyola University School of Law.
